Went here during our vacation last week. I read reviews for the different restaurants in Wrightsville Beach, and I know that the most popular rated restaurant isn't always the best pick for us. We are foodies. We like quality. We like good service. We like a nice environment in which to dine. Bridge Tender does all of this very well, I am happy to report.
The menu at Bridge Tender is just right, with great appetizers (not your usual dogs), interesting salads that obviously require fresh ingredients, and great entrees & sides. The Oysters Rockefeller was outstanding. Tuna entree was excellent. Presentation and portion size is just right. Thoughtful creative veg & starch accompaniments, not your typical beach restaurant at all! They have some early bird specials on a limited menu in the bar/lounge, but we did not partake, since we were on the deck and wanted to select from the entire menu for our meals.
The only change I would make is to ditch the ho-hum printed dessert menu, and instead, bring a dessert display tray.
The wine list has enough variety at different price points. Our server Erin was professional and helpful. The parking is good. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. We sat on the deck over the water with boats quietly bobbing about their moorings at sunset....it was lovely.
