“An iconic little beach breakfast spot.”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

You know the place, everybody goes here, off the beaten path, good breakfast, good kid food, lines on busy days-most of the time, and efficient service. Eggs, grits, omelets, french toast, pancakes along with some shrimp and grits and fried perch and a decent benedict. It's good. Mike is great, always checking up on you, and the crabby lady at checkout is still there.

“Just horrible”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Who are these people writing good reviews?? I'm guessing family members. Just a terrible place all the way around, they seem to do business only for the fact that there are not many other options around. Save your precious time and money and stay away from this horrible diner. From difficult parking to an unnecessarily long wait, to busted toilet (single bathroom), to soggy eggs. If I could assign a negative number to the review I would.

“A very good not expensive breakfast”
Reviewed July 12, 2014 via mobile

The causeway would qualify as a dive in appearance. The cleanliness does not reflect it though. I got the traditional two eggs, two pancakes, and bacon which was really good but my wife got the black walnut banana French toast which was out of the world. It is small so get there early our be ready to wait. I would say expect 6-7$ a person but on the island that is great!!! I did love it! It is not gourmet but it is well worth the money

“Worth a visit every time in the area”
Reviewed July 3, 2014 via mobile

True down home place for breakfast and lunch basics and some traditional southern specials. Long waits year round are actually good chances to spend family time on the front porch.

“Worth the wait”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

We rely heavily on Trip Advisor and Yelp for breakfast reviews. This is a family favorite so far. Both my daughters ordered Belgium waffles with different toppings, my wife ordered an omelette with shrimp and mozzarella, and I went with the Hungry Man which I couldn't finish. Everything we ordered was awesome. No complaints, and we will come back for one more breakfast. The Ultimate Waffle was a good choice.
