This restaurant is found in a very accessible area in Winston Salem, close to the Hanes Mall and other shopping venues, but tucked away enough to maintain its uniqueness. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant, with booths along the wall in the main dining area, and tables in the center. Our booth was comfortable, and close to the bar, where there was live music, which was not not at all intrusive. The dinner menu was varied with main entrees, a good selection of appetizers and featured drinks. There was also a separate menu with daily specials. The server was attentive and efficient. The food was slightly overpriced for the quality that was presented. I had the filet mignon which was almost tasteless and didn't seem like a good cut of meat in relation to the price, but the accompanying salad and side dish of sautéed spinach was very tasty and well presented. The dessert menu was great, and our favorite was the apple crumb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Desserts are all made in house. My two friends and I had a nice experience, and we'll definitely return again.
