“Very nice Science museum”

We went here recently and enjoyed it. We have been here a few other times, but it had been a few years so we decide to spend the afternoon there.
The display are in good shape and almost all of them are interactive. There are a few animal displays.
They have put in some new areas outside like a tire swing and sandbox. A display about wind and solar energy. There is a very old and rundown animal petting barn. You can follow the path outside if you want to take a walk but there isn't much to see.( a few deer in an enclosure and some green ponds).
They have a very nice gift shop and an eating area with vending machines.
We got in free with our Greensboro Science Center card, but as of August 1, 2013 you will have to pay half of the entrance fee if you are a member

SciWorks is fun for the whole family. Your children will stay engaged with many different activities, and you want be able to stop yourself from joining in on the fun. The outside picnic area is good for catching your breath before heading to see the animals. We will be back!!

Don't go if you're expecting Discovery Place. But honestly, it's still not bad. Live animals, and a ton of science-y things to do. That's all I really ask for in a Science Center. It's also very nicely designed and maintained. Just don't expect a built-in rain forest. Unless you're just totally disinterested in science and nature, you should be able to spend half a day there.

We took our toddler grandson. He did enjoy running everywhere but there was very little for him to interact with.

Looking for a fun place to go and possibly interest the children in Science? This is the place! I loved the hands on aspect! Very family friendly atmosphere!! The grands and the grandparents thoroughly enjoyed it!
