“A beautiful church from the past and loving people”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

We always try to visit the old churchs on our trips to historic cities. This one will not disappoint.
If you are lucky enough to be in the area during December enjoy the candle tea and the
worship service open to everyone of any denomination. The moravians are known for their
hospitality and during Christmas you can actually enjoy a true authentic cup of Moravian coffee
and a love feast bun. I never had a cup of coffee like this and the historic mug makes it a wonderful treat on a cold day. At Easter the grounds of the passed on burial ground are covered in live flower offerings and loved ones left cleaning the stones. This is a amazing place to do chalk markings and some stones are truly old. A beautiful place of worship with a glorious past of believing in love and religious freedoms and a band to cherish. If you attend a Sunday worship service you will be invited for a coffee. Two thumbs up for a visit. Heads UP- at their web site you can view their services for a regular Sunday service. Seems to be a very loving
church with true fellowship.

“Welcoming, worshipful”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

The architecture is beautiful, symbolizing the beauty inherent in the Moravian worship service, that includes so much hymnody and scripture. The Great Sabbath Service on Easter Eve prepares the worshiper for the joy of resurrection.

“You Don't Have to be Moravian”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

I'm not Moravian but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the history and music of the services. I knew nothing about Moravians before moving him and have embraced their history, record keeping - lots, and organ music played on historic organs.
