We loved checking out the old ways of construction. The building methods were fascinating and in lighting. Would definitely recommend.

We visited Old Salem on a Saturday morning in August and were lucky enough to not only enjoy the historical feel of the village, but also a really nice farmer's market. They had a wonderful array of vendors from local organic farmers, bakers, chocolatiers, dairy farms and more. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We were short on time, but we did make it to the bakery to buy some delicious Moravian pastries and to the gift shop for a star like the one that was over the alter at our wedding. We hope to go back when we have more time to do a full tour.

Really enjoyed touring and hearing about the history of the Moravians. Be sure to visit the bakery and grab some Sugar Cake and don't bypass the church. Very well kept and clean.
