We never tire of the living history Moravian settlement in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Truth never ages, nor does the smell of the smoke rising from Winkler Bakery or the genuine hospitality at the Salem Tavern and Augustus T. Zevely Inn Bed and Breakfast on the other side of Salem Square. I'm sure they are much the same as they were in 1765... and that the bell of Home Moravian Church sounds the same today as it did the first time it was rung. We certainly have made friends there over the almost 50 years we've been visiting -- especially the Zevely Innkeeper, Ms. Linda Anderson. You certainly don't want to miss the Moravian Candle Tea in November or the Love Feast on Christmas Eve!

Many restored locations from the 1700s. Museums, art, gardens, restaurants, and ongoing activities. Tour at your own pace. Beautiful grounds for an afternoon stroll! Easy access to and from Interstate 40.

This is a must stop place for all those who want a unique experience. In the heart of winston-salem it is a way of living for these people all the while it tells a story of history and provides a great experience for all who take part. The even have a restaurant that you can eat at that is pretty good as well.

This is a smaller version of Williamsburg. There are not the crowds but smaller crowds and you can see more venues.

The all around ticket is a good choice for going into the shops and living museum sites. I sometimes just like to shop at the bakery and the visitors center. At Christmas it is really a special place to be.
