“Count on good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

Jac's Grill is a solid bistro where you can always count on high quality food and service to match. The atmosphere is soothing and perfect for conversation,,,,no fighting to hear because of the noise in many high energy bistros. Portion sizes are large but they offer smaller portions on most dishes which is a nice option. Jac's always does well with the specials. There is a reasonable wine by the glass selection, but not extensive and there is a beautiful bar also.

“Good stand alone spot”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

We'd been travelling a few days and had been frustrated by the number of mediocre chain restaurants, so we were glad to find Jac's. As we walked in, we noticed a walled in outdoor patio where folks seemed to be enjoying drinks and dinner. Had it been a bit warmer, we would have asked to be seated outside. We try to be healthy eaters(which is a huge challenge in the delicious South) but we did find some good choices here. I had a filet-and was glad they offered a small size as well as a larger one. It was lovely and cooked perfectly. The service was very friendly and attentive. My husband had a broiled fish. Coffee was good and there was a nice selection of wine.We skipped desert, but there were some rich delicious looking choices.

“Not worth the price”
Reviewed April 21, 2012

The food was decent, but prices were on a gourmet level and the food was not. Had the shrimp and grits which lacked flavor and had a weird red sauce on top.

“Jac's even better with new menu!”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

We had been to Jac's several times in the last several years and always had a good meal. We did not go often because the menu was usually the same. We went this weekend and there was a new menu! Still the food was excellent but different choices. I liked the way you could pick your meat, starch, vegetable and sauce from different choices. Therefore, you could go numerous times and never have the same meal. I had the 4 oz filet with the loaded potato cake(amazing) and asparagus. Perfect meal for me and only $17--how reasonable!

We will definitely be going back to Jac's more often now. Oh, and they had a wonderful dessert that was some kind of take off on bread pudding but with crispy fried crouton donut bread in a cream sauce. It was terrific!

Our new favorite restaurant in the Wilson-Rocky Mount area.
