My wife and I have stayed at the Verandas at least once a year for the past eight. Upon arrival, we remember exactly why we return. The history and charm that embodies this historic B&B, is truly an experience in itself. The innkeepers, Dennis & Charles, are always available to offer suggestions concerning historic downtown Wilmington and anything and everything to make you're stay enjoyable. We enjoy rocking on one of the four Verandas or observing the well maintained border garden that offers color and fragrance for all seasons. The proximity of multiple restaurants and shopping, make for a fabulous stroll through the historic district day or night. The breakfast is a must; French pressed coffee and seasonal fruits accompany a plentiful plate that typically encourages skipping lunch. As breakfast is being served you usualy receive interesting tidbits of history from the innkeeper concerning the house itself, as well as the town. Wilmington area beaches are a short distance and provide a great opportunity to relax in the sun. Those traveling to SouthEast North Carolina should consider this home away from home.
