Hotel is pretty new. Our room was large, bright, and very well furnished and equipped. Lots od electrical and USB outlets. Kitchenette. , Big closet. Would be very suitable for an extended stay. I will look for this hotel brand in the future.

We stayed here for two nights while checking out the Wilmington area. When we arrived, Ryan at the front desk was very helpful in showing us where to find good restaurants and local attractions to visit. We had a king suite which was very clean. I am very picky about hotels and could not find anything that I didn't like about our room. It was arranged in a very modern formation and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The glass shower stall was large, well lite, and was very clean. The bathroom has a fan and the mirror has some magnification in the middle circle which is helpful for makeup application. The bathroom door is not your normal closing door. It reminds you of a pocket door. It doesn't actually give 100% privacy but it does lock. The flatscreen tv swivels so that it can be viewed from the bed or the couch. They have HBO but not a huge variety of channels. I did like the accurate listing of channels provided which you don't always get in a hotel room. There were many extras that I haven't seen before: reading night lights attached to the bed on either side, sealed paper plates and utensils, and the couch was actually a small sectional. The room has a microwave and small refrigerator which has built in slots to hold water bottles. There is a small counter where you could fix a snack. There is a large wooden slat table built over the ac/heat unit which makes this a usable space to put luggage or maybe even use it as a window seat. The room temp could be adjusted with a wall thermostat. Breakfast is included and there were plenty of tables. There were 2 hot choices along with various breads to toast and fresh fruit (even strawberries). There was no coffee available after breakfast which was a little disappointing. Anywhere you sit for breakfast provides a view to various tv channels. The fitness room has two treadmills, a stair master, a cycling machine and free weights. Personal headphones are provided so you can watch tv or listen to music while on the machines. It was very clean and temp felt right. The fitness area looks out onto the outdoor pool. It's a good size, clean and even has one of those large mushrooms that drips water. We weren't there long enough to check it out but saw several folks enjoying it. The parking slots are spacious and most are only a short walking distance to an entrance. We felt very safe at this hotel. You are across from Mayfair Town Shopping center which has a Starbucks and restaurants and shops. One night we ate at the Sweet and Savory Cafe. Uneventful. The second night we chose to eat 10 min away at the Cape Fear Seafood Restaurant which is rated #1 in Wilmington (so good they have expanded to three locations) . Delicious! This hotel is centrally located to many attractions. We went to the historic downtown area which may have been 10-15 min away. We did the horse drawn trolley tour -30 min for $12 --to hear some history and also one of the boat tours--1 hour for $12. Wrightsville Beach is about 5 minutes away, Carolina Beach is about 30 min away and Kure Beach is 35-40 minutes away.

great location, lots to do in the area - movies, restaurants and a few miles from the beach. room was spacious and nice - living room area, large bathroom and large sleeping area.

few small issues worth mentioning - front desk staff was not available during late night (11pm) and early morning hours (6am), coffee and hot water not available in lobby 24x7, small pieces of trash on hallway carpet, and breakfast staff was only nice to a few (excluding my college age, vegan daughter who was taking too much time preparing breakfast in the food area). all small issues but again, worth mentioning.

Hello Jen M,
Thank you for leaving such a nice rating and review. I do apologize that your stay wasn't perfect, the staff tries everyday to make this happen and I am sorry we left you lacking. I will be sure to bring this up with our team to make sure it was an isolated incident and not likely to happen in the future. You did mention that there was no coffee provided 24x7. This not a hotel choice, but rather a Marriott standard that we are required follow. We do offer additional coffee and condiments at the desk for the coffee makers in the rooms.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Again, please accept my apologies on behalf of the issues your encountered. We hope that when your travels bring you back to the area, we will have the opportunity to provide you with the service you have come to depend upon with Marriott.

A reasonably priced hotel in a very nice section of Wilmington. The location was convenient to get to places in the city as well as to Wrightsville Beach. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We were treated as regulars even though this was our first stay at the hotel. If you are into shopping, the Mayfaire Mall was across the highway and there are plenty of restaurants of all types to choose from.
