We travel to Wilmington all the time, and while there are a handful of restaurants with great southern cuisine, none have replaced the old Crooks By the River. The George has been open for about a decade, during which time we dined by nostalgia at Elijah's, Caffe Phoenix and Roy's Riverboat Landing. I am so happy we decided to switch it up this week. The mister had a fabulous grouper with grits, and my mixed grill (shrimp, scallops and local channel-caught Mahi Mahi instead of lobster) with green beans was A.W.E.S.O.M.E! Watching the Henrietta II docking by sunset was icing on the cake! We look forward to our next experience at The George on the Riverwalk!
