We had a great stay here. The first thing that impressed us was how friendly all the staff was. From the valet to the front desk to when we got off the elevator and the housekeeper said "Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay!" The hotel is in walking distance of a lot of great restaurants, bars, and breweries. We only used our car when we went to the beach one day. Highly recommend staying here if you won't to enjoy downtown Wilmington without a car.

The rooms are spotless. The hotel is very clean. The location is perfect for visiting downtown. Here is why we did not give it a higher score. We arrived at 3:00 for our confirmed, contracted and with a print out of our reservation. We were told no room was available and that check in times had just been changed to 4:00 pm. Really? Not according to my confirmed reservation. The desk staff was not at fault in any way. Management blew this one. We learned in talking with others in the lobby the same thing had happened to them. Management here needs to get their act together. We asked for a contact from them and nothing. Not a call, message or anything.

Room tip: Try to get above the second floor. The pool area entrance is on second floor and can be a bit noisy.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback in helping us to grow. Our team works hard to keep our hotel at the highest standard. We are excited to hear that your experience of the hotel was a nice one. However it does seem that we did miss the mark at the beginning. Our hotel did recently change our check-in time to 4pm in hopes to better accommodate our guests. We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication on this! This is not of the norm and we are working hard to make this an easy transition for everyone. We would love to connect with you on this just give us a call to discuss further.

The location of this hotel is perfect. You can walk to everything downtown. The hotel staff was very nice. When I told the guy at the front desk that this was my first time in Wilmington he gave me a map and circled some of his favorite places and gave me directions. He was very nice. Our room was clean. There's a little bistro downstairs. On the 2nd floor there's a pool and fire pit. Parking was $8 a day if you parked yourself, $12 for valet. I would stay here next time. I really enjoyed my stay!

We stayed here with our 6 month old daughter. Went for the king suite which gave us extra space for sitting and setting up the crib. The suites are on the corners so you have windows on both sides. I figured the hotel was brand new based on how clean and up-to-date the decor was. It has been open 3 years. Our room faced Grace Street which had some noise from the bars across the street; nothing over the top. However, we did hear a good bit of conversation from the room next door.
Location is great - we did not need our car to go anywhere downtown. Every interaction we had with staff was very warm. Both front desk agents were incredibly helpful and caring. Housekeeping attendants went out of their way to get us anything we needed with the little one. Smiles everywhere! We will return!

The hotel was nice overall. The front desk staff was very friendly. My room was comfortable. The lobby had a great lounge area and a bar for breakfast, and food and drinks throughout the day. The hotel is within walking distance or short drive from lots of restaurants and the Riverfront.
