Description: The Pub is the only Wilmington, NC burger restaurant to grind its own meet fresh daily on-site. Fresh just tastes better, come in to experience it for yourself! Still not convinced, took a look at the gallery for a small selection of the different burgers we create daily! FRESH JUST TASTES BETTER!

I am sitting in the Pub right now. Thought we would give The Pub a second try. As a party of 9 (families of 5&4), we figured it would've been difficult getting a table at S&S at 11:30a on a Sunday so we would check out The Pub, hoping service would be better today with no wait. Well...it took over 40 minutes to get the 2 appetizers for one family and an hour to get all of the hamburgers. Seriously, servers are EVERYWHERE but they need to better staff the kitchen bc burgers should NOT take an hour!! I don't care how gourmet they may be. And...one entree was wrong but we didn't want to alert the server as we were starving. Figured we would give this place another shot...we were wrong. Our first time was during World Cup. No one was in the restaurant during dinner service. It took 4 times to ATTEMPT to get the correct beer served (still wrong), that included the bartender coming over to check the menu. Food took over an hour that time as well. Same server both times...the check stated her name as "Mare". Sadly to say, we will NOT go back again. Good food but NOT worth the time. Might have waited longer for a table at Sweet & Savory but would have been served quicker. Strange how two sister establishments operate soooo different. :(

Great little pub tucked away behind the Harris
Teeter/Lumina Station area of Wrightsville Beach that served really great food. We had standard pub fare on both occasions, such as hamburgers/fries, wraps, and that sort of thing. However, the service was nice and the food was always really good. We tried the peanut butter cookies on our way out for a wee sweet and they were almost like we make at home. The bakery items looked great, but I didn't try them as they were wrapped up in plastic wrap and did not look appealing at all. Would I have purchased some items if not covered up in plastic wrap? Most definitely. All in all, though, the food was great and the servers were prompt, friendly and attentive. It was a nice little spot with yummy pub food.

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday afternoon. No one seems to have a clue what is going on here. We were told to take the menus and be seated outside (our preference). On the way out, the waitress apologized for the rudeness. We wanted a light lunch, just a small salad with grilled grouper. They no longer have grouper, just Mahi, so I decided to try that. My husband ordered the salad with fried shrimp and asked for tarter sauce on the side. My Mahi was so salty, the only way I could eat it was to break it up into very small pieces and mix with my salad. The shrimp was a tempura, which was strange on a salad. We have had fried shrimp here in the past and it was really good. I would have sent mine back, but the waitress only came back to apologize for not bringing the tarter, so after having our meal for at least 5 minutes, she showed back up. Still never asking about the food. She was very friendly and nice, but aplogized at least 5 times during our meal for something. I will give them another chance, but hopefully this is not an indication that the place is going downhill.
