Its in a nice setting with plenty of tables. You can get by dressy or casual and not feel uncomfortable. It felt a bit drafty inside. The wines are great as well as the specialty cocktails. As everyone else said before me, the pig ears are great so give them a shot. If the thought of eating ears makes you squeamish just think of them as thin strips of fried bacon drenched in buffalo sauce with an awesome blue cheese dressing because thats what it tastes like. I followed that with more pig, in the form of a wonderful pork chop. Finished it off with the bread pudding which was very, very good. Definitely coming back. They also have complimentary valet.

Although Rx has been in business for some time, and we'd gotten rave reviews from our foodie friends, we only got around to checking it out a week ago. We liked it so much we returned this week. Great service, great, inspired, dishes and a cool funky atmosphere. As weird as they sound you have to try the BBQ'd pigs ears. Lip smacking good. Six of us ordered six different main courses and shared bites. Every dish was not only good but had an interesting twist. Nice wine list too or you can bring your own for a $100.00 corkage fee. Check it out!

Nestled in between antique stores, is Hall's drug store. We passed it twice before inquiring to find it housed RX Restaurant. What a find! The décor is sorta 50s, but the bar is spacious and the menu is a shocker. It is changed every day and everything is fresh and obtained from local and nearby farms. The wine list is ample and reasonably priced. It you love a good red, try a zin named Poison. It's a killer. The food was wonderful. We had the swordfish topped with blue crab, red peppers and spinach and the flavors melded sensationally. The salad with strawberries was excellent, as was the side of pan browned potatoes. For those with a gluten problem, this is your place. We'll be back, soon.

So refreshing to have a restaurant of this type and caliber in Wilmington! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere and the service. The pig ears were delicious (though a bit heavy for just 2 people to share), the swordfish with beurre blanc was fabulous and the beignets for desert were a nice finish to the meal. We will definitely be back!

My friends and I went to RX last night. It was an old drug store that they revamped into a restaurant. The interior has plenty of consignment art, booths and individual tables that can be pushed together for large groups. Because of the wood furnishings, the sound is not absorbed so conversation is a little difficult. The staff was very helpful with the wine list and the menu and even accommodated us by allowing us to taste several of their wines. We later found out that you could bring your own wine for just a $10 corking fee. Once we ordered our appetizer the waitress brought us an iron pot that contained little homemade biscuits and cornbread which was very good. We began with the baby back ribs and pork rind appetizer. The rinds were excellent while the ribs were very meaty, but a little too salty for my taste. Of the four entrees/mains that we had, the poulet rouge was by far the best. All of the mains were enough to split between two women. I had the strip steak which was not the cut of meat that I expected even though it was a perfect medium rare. The accompanying roasted potatoes and kale were great. My friend said that the grits were too runny in her shrimp and grits. We all decided that, upon reflection, we should have tried the 'firsts' which were smaller portions since this was our first time at RX. I am going to go back to try some of these.
