Rx is a new, fun, local, restaurant -- everything the other reviews have said. (We did get good service.) Lots of pork (well, it is local, and this is North Carolina), but cooked in many different ways. And some odd parts -- I'd never had cheeks, and they were very tender and flavorful. I want to go back and have some other pork delicacies, or rareties.
I also want to point out that one of our party was a vegetarian, who did well: arugula salad appetizer, vegetable plate (piled with many different veggies prepared many different ways). Rx is obviously for local carnivores -- but vegetarians can be happy, too.

Rx was a very pleasant experience. The valet parking, wait staff and food were all commendable. We will certainly make this a favorite restaurant.

One note... make a reservation!

Rx has been open since July 2012 and I have dined there serveral times since they opened. Food is great and menu varies almost daily for serveral items as they only use fresh fish, etc. Wine list has improved with reasonable prices for a very good restaurant. Try it, you will not be disappointed. You WILL need reservations.

A large group of friends were very excited to try this new restaurant that we had heard so much about. Setting up the reservation was a breeze -- we got a quick call back and it made us anticipate a very exciting evening.

We had to wait a bit for a table. No worries. We were a large group. The bartender was friendly and very efficient. We were sat at our table and were presented our menus. The waitress knew next to nothing about the items on the menu. Each question required her to run back to the kitchen for an answer. Seriously -- a restaurant that prides itself on a menu that changes daily needs to make sure their staff is familiar with the listings.

The appetizer of pork belly, grits, and egg was excellent. Quite tasty and fresh.

Entrees on the other hand were a bit of a disappointment. I had the shrimp and grits. Pretty bland. Several friends had the highly recommended fried chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and collards. The potatoes were quite good. The chicken was fried chicken -- nothing special. The collards were ice cold. We had to wait for a while for our waitress to return in order to get hot collards. Several others had the flank steak with blue cheese mashed potatoes. That seemed to be the favorite of all the entrees.

Our water glasses were never refilled. And we were not offered additional cocktails.

I had to hunt down our waitress to find out what the dessert menu had to offer. We chose the homemade cookie with pretzel ice cream. Again -- acceptable at best.

The atmosphere was quite lovely but was not enough to make it a worthwhile evening. Sorry to say -- I wouldn't recommend this venue.
