There was beauty around every corner in Airlie Gardens. And we were pleasantly surprised at how many wonderful paths and points of interest there were. I could've stayed all day taking pictures. Beginning with the 400-year old live oak, we were in awe. The frog sculptures added humor. Fountains and other art beautiful and fun. Got great pics of turtles, swans, egrets, herons, osprey. Highlight of our Wilmington visit! Wonderful value for just eight bucks each.

We made our first trip to these beautiful gardens. If I had to pick one word to describe them it would be serene. The pathways around them were beautifully manicured. There was just enough garden art to be pleasing to the eye. The views of the waterway bordering the gardens was spectacular. A must during a visit to Wilmington.

This was a lovely place to go and stroll around at your own place very peaceful ,there was a lady who gave us a lift in a cart and talked us though the gardens as we passed them, there is also a nature trail for you to take along with a lake for you to stroll around ,plenty of places to sit and take a rest and take in some of the peace

The gardens are a great place to walk and enjoy the open air along the water. This is well kept and kid freindly. They have music on fridays that you can bring your own food and drink in and enjoy. The Christmas lights they put up are top notch.

First time visit and it was great! Just as we pulled into the driveway a hawk swooped down to the side of the road chased by a mockingbird pecking at his head. There are osprey nests, swans, turtles and fish. We especially loved the frog copper sculpture exhibit going on and enjoyed the leisurely walks through the gardens. We met some folks that visit regularly because there are so many areas to just hang out in and enjoy the surroundings. There is a chapel and old cemetery and a beautiful Glass House made with tons of colored bottles. The vitex, hydrangea, magnolia, and lots of perennials were in bloom. The butterfly house was very serene. Well worth the few dollars spent.
