This was the first time for our party of 4 to eat here & it lived up to all expectations! We were lucky enough to sit upstairs outside on the balcony on a beautiful day. We were promptly seated by the hostess & waited on promptly, with the orders for our Bloody Marys & water being taken. The Bloody Marys were delicious, with lots of large green olives & a great spicey taste.

We ordered the shrimp & grits, the blue crab eggs benedict, the breakfast migas (a Mexican style of omelet/fritatta) & the shrimp baja wrap. All portions were large & came with a fresh cinnamon roll that was extremely light & the perfect bite size. The shrimp & grits were covered in a rich sauce that reminded me of she crab soup. The grits were in the form of a cake & it was very moist & tender. The dish could have done with a little more shrimp & a lot less of the sauce as it took on the character of a soup. The eggs benedict were wonderful, the eggs were perfectly cooked & the crab cakes were great! The breakfast migas took up the whole plate, plus came with fresh fruit on the side. It could have used a dollop of sour cream, guacamole or salsa to dress it up a little but it was delicious. The baja wrap was overflowing with shrimp & all the fillings-wonderful!!

We were able to choose off of the regular lunch menu or the brunch menu since we arrived about noon. This ability gave us a large selection to choose from. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday from 9 am-2 pm. Prices were extremely reasonable & the restaurant is beautiful & relaxing. We would all definitely recommend Havana's!

Our first time to Havana's and were impressed by the pleasant decor. That and our server were the only things on the plus side. The house special from the mojitos list was very weak. We both ordered the pricey crab cakes which had to be sent back because they and the accompanying risotto were just luke warm. The cakes were flavored with curry or similar spice which overpowered the crab. Too bad!

I had lunch today at Havana's in Wilmington. First, we were placed in an area where no one else was sitting. It took a while for the waitress to get our drink & food order. The food was OK. The service was terrible. I ask for remoulade sauce & was brought orange marmalade. I was told they did not have any remoulade sauce. She never came back to ask if we needed anything or to give us more to drink. When we were finished I had to find her to settle our bill. I will think twice about eating at Havana's again.

Get the French onion soup!!! A little pricey, I think we were underdressed, but the waitress was also underdressed so.... either way it was super delicious, had a nice atmosphere and good service.

Great service, nice atmosphere, nicely decorated interior. However, food was average and portions small. We ordered turkey Reuben, chicken pesto on ciabatta (definitely the best of our entrees), crab cake - small and more stuffing than crab, swordfish (daily "special") was tiny, and very disappointing. Key Lime pie was excellent, chocolate 4 layer cake was ok.
