The Wayfarer is a small place but definitely worth seeking out if you are in Wilmington. There are a small number of tables inside and outside, and I found all the employees very helpful and friendly. As for the food, it is an international deli, so there are sandwiches drawn from all kinds of cuisines, from classic American to a bit more adventurous. I went to the Wayfarer twice during my trip, and had the Beef On 'Weck as well as the Reuben, and both were fantastic - really some of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. There is also a great menu of bottled craft beer, so you can try to find a perfect pairing with your meal. Definitely find your way to the Wayfarer next time you are in Wilmington!

Awesome and friendly staff! The waitress I had was amazing and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and very nice when asked questions. The food was amazing! I would have loved to try every dish on the menu!! Great place to sit, relax, and enjoy a great meal!

We are always looking for another great place to eat in Wilmington and this is it. It is a small shop in front street downtown and is so amazing that you will be back! It has lots of imports, wine and the most amazing sandwiches that I have had in a while. They are no longer accepting the entertainment book coupons but stay and pay full price you will not regret it!!

have eaten there twice food is prepared with a lot of care and some of the combination sandwiches are very imaginative and carried off w/panache just the fact that they take the time to thank people for revieews shows you the kind of people and restauranteurs they are. plus the waitstaff i haver had have been fun funny and very knowledgable will go back whenever i am downtown

This is a small, but great little Deli on a corner of Front Street. Small because there were only three tables inside, but if you are looking for take-out this is the place to go. There is a great selection of sandwhiches and a few soups to choose from each day. I had The Langenthaler which consisted of house-roasted turkey, swiss cheese and thinly sliced pickles on a panini-pressed ciabatta. The sandwich was generous, fresh and delicious. I substituted soup for the side that would normally come with the sandwhich. In this case a cup of chicken taco soup. I must confess the soup was a bit thin, but it had a great taste. Not too salty or peppery. There are lots of other sandwhich combos to choose from so I am sure I will return to this deli the next time I am in Wilmington.
