The only bad thing I can say about this little gem of a restaurant is the menu had so many great items that it made it hard to choose. We had the strudel w/ goat cheese, mushrooms and asparagus in a puff pastry to start...WOW!!! Next we shared the Spinach Salad with pears, spicy pecans, blue cheese tossed in a citrus vinaigrette...the flavors blended together perfectly. We shared the Bistro Steak that had the best peppercorn sauce that I have ever tasted. We finished it all off with the Profiterolles...small cream puffs with vanilla ice cream on top of a belgium chocolate sauce. Amazing dinner and served to us by a delightful English waiter named Lee...ask for him...he is like the icing on the cake.

We ate here in May 2011 for the first time and had a very nice dinner from appetizer to dessert. The waiters delivered great service and we found the food to be very tasty, attractively presented, reasonable portions, and timely delivered. We were on a bit of a schedule, and our waiter ensured we were able to finish dinner in time for our next scheduled appointment. We had read on trip advisor about the restaurant before we went and felt it met our expectaions.

Wonderful restaurant, excellent food, great ambience, and located in scenic, historic area of downtown Wilmington. The food was truly outstanding, the best I've had in a very long time. The wine list was also excellent, and the service friendly and courteous. Overall a wonderful place to dine, date, enjoy a great meal, and have a nice walk around afterwards.

Decided to grab dinner here based on yummy looking menu posted in the window. Very quaint and cozy inside. My waiter was great--really friendly and attentive. I had soup and a HUGE salad--both really good. The rest of their menu made my mouth water--would have definitely loved to have tried something else if I'd had a bigger appetite. Felt the prices were really good for the service and quality I received.

First visit to Wilmington and followed the Tripadvisor reviews to Caprice. The owners and staff were friendly and charming. We ate in the funkier upstairs bar/dining area. Very good, straightforward, well-priced wine list and the food did not disappoint. Particularly liked the smoked seafood appetizer - terrific variety of flavors and textures. Everyone at our table ordered different first courses and entrees and it was all GOOD. And, compared with NY prices - it was scandalously inexpensive. Now I'm lobbying to go back - and we were just there last night...
