“Battleship North Carolina”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The self-guided tour of the ship is well marked, with placards that clearly explained the significance of each area, and with interesting excerpts from letters and diaries of crew members relating their experiences on the ship. A worthwhile stop.

“Very cool tour!”
Reviewed January 2, 2014 via mobile

Museum is very small, however we came for the ship so it was great. We just got done seeing the ship in Charleston, SC so this was cool too. This ship was much more in depth as you could get even "deeper" into the ship. We could walk through the machine shop, kitchens, etc where as the one in Charleston we could only look.

“Great experience for kids and adults!”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

The USS North Carolina was an amazing sight. My family enjoyed being able to roam all over the ship seeing many areas where the sailors worked and lived. A nice part of history for the entire family. Just a short 1 hour drive from Myrtle Beach this is a must see. Cost is $12 adults $6 kids and worth every cent. Plan to spend a couple hours minimum. Take your time and go at your on pace.

“Battleship North Carolina - A Must See”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

There are few places where you can step onto an American Battleship that saw many engagements in World War II and get your hands on much of the equipment, weapons, and tour the ship like a member of the crew. If you see nothing else in Wilmington, you have to see the Battleship North Carolina. It is like going back in time. I particularly enjoyed touring the living areas on ship, the galley, medical and dental clinics, post office and seeing the ice cream machine! If you go, avoid the heat of summer if possible and work around the holidays when the ship is especially crowded with visitors and tour groups. A visit that you will long remember!
