“Awesome!”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

This is a must for everyone - what an awesome and educational experience to go on this mighty ship and just get a glimpse of what it was like for the men to live on it and serve during war time. It takes one's breath away to envision what grit and courage it took to live on it much less serve and fight in battle. You are shown many areas of the ship and it truly gives civilians a taste of what our brave American men sacrificed and the conditions they endured - and what makes them all heroes. Every child, every adult should go here and get a taste of the patriotism of those who served on the battleship.

“Much more than I bargained for!”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

The USS North Carolina could be a destination all of it's own! We thought we'd take a short tour of the WWII Battleship and be off again, but that was not the case. The "tour" was a self-guided audio tour that allows you to see anything and everything you want to see and spend as much time doing it as you need or want. It's a mini-city on a ship! Be prepared for tight spaces and stairs but you will be rewarded with more than you bargained for if you persevere! This is a floating museum that is as it was when it was in commission. You will see just how the sailors lived and worked and it will leave you with a whole new appreciation of their sacrifice and dedication. Thank you veterans of the USS North Carolina!

“Interesting”

Very interesting to see how people lived at sea. I thought the engine room was neat and crawling around in the 16 inch gun turrets was really something.

“Fun trip to the battleship North Carolina”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

I enjoyed a little time here at the battleship. I had my small daughter she enjoyed it for a little while but got tired of being there rather quick. I got to go through some of the ship but because of her could not get to see the whole thing. Careful if you do not like tight places, I get a little anxious myself but was able to get through it.

“Pride of America”
Reviewed December 11, 2013

Went to the battleship on November 11th (Veterans Day) and it was a great experience. It definitely gives one a reality check. Our freedom today is enjoyed by all Americans because of those gallant Sailors who fought for our freedom in such hot, miserable and cramped quarters.
