I recently stayed at the Hilton for a conference for three nights. The hotel is conveniently located near the historic district, river walk, battleship, and community college. The room was nice, but sparsely furnished. There was a coffee maker but little else. One chair plus a desk/chair and a bed. No balconies are available and even though my room had a view of the river and the ship, it also looked out on rooftops and parking lots as well. The other side of the hotel looks out on the historic district and not the river.
The hotel has a Ruth's Chris Steak House (did not try) and a small restaurant. We ate one meal in the restaurant and decided to venture out more for future meals. It was OK, but very ordinary. There are several nicer places within walking distance on the river walk or downtown.
