“Wonderful venue for seeing a play”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

LIked the feel of an historic building. It has three theater, each with different configurations. The reseptionarea is very well appointed and they have a coffe/snack shop with seating. I thought it was nice that they had a bench in the elevator.

“Thalian Hall is Grand”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Having moved from the DC area recently, and being regular attendees at the Kennedy Center, we were missing live performances. Thalian is not KC for certain, but it is a delightful and quite lovely theater. We saw a musical which was done well, good directing, great actors and talent. If you live in the Wilmington area and have not yet attended an event at Thalian...go now!

“Historic theatre is worth a visit”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Thus is a wonderful little theatre in downtown wilmington. They offer plays and weekly movie showings. The box office is most helpful in aiding you in the selection of our seats too. Even if you are not attending a performance, stop in for a visit. Worthwhile for its historical significance.

“This is a wonderful place”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

During the 'regular' season Thalian Hall hosts many different performances. Lots of plays and an occasional special, e.g. The Santaland Diaries, Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain. All excellent performances.

Monday through Wednesday Thalian Hall hosts: Cinematique. These are films that have won awards but are not often available at your local theater.

The theater is beautiful. It was remodeled (@ great cost) approximate one year ago, 2012. Free parking on their lot after 5pm. Free parking at on-street meters after 6:30 p.m.

Note: Cinematique costs $8.00 per person (in 2013).
Most live shows are NOT expensive by big city standards.
