We did the Black River tour last year and got a lot of local flavor, insider stories and lots of history. Black River and Cape Fear and other rivers diverge in Wilmington. Spills to the ocean, just south of Wilmington, tidal influence. Battleship dominates Eagle Island area across from downtown.

Go visit and you can understand why several films have been made about this river.

Boat is open, so dress accordingly. Just a few too many people on our cruise.

The hour river cruise is very enjoyable. I learned a lot about the history of the Wilminton area on the trip. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the boat ride. Another good value for the money.

Nice boardwalk along the Cape Fear River. Beautiful viewing of the Ship, Birds, Boats passing by, etc.. I enjoyed my coffee while sitting on one of the benches looking out onto the river. Several runners, walkers, and others enjoying the area with me.

Downtown Wilmington has many nice shops, restaurants, and galleries to explore. I had a lot fun walking through the Cotton Exchange, too.
