My husband and I stayed one night in the Corn Crib room for an early Valentine's Day celebration and we couldn't be happier with Big Mill. From the time I called Chloe (the Innkeeper) to reserve the room to checking out just a few moments ago, she was warm, friendly, welcoming, and fun! The grounds are so quaint and serene, the room was super cozy, and the homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious. We were only about 20 minutes from Washington and when we returned from having dinner at On The Waterfront, Chloe had decorated our door and counters with the sweetest little Valentine's decorations. If you enjoy the "little things", Chloe is your girl and Big Mill is your place. We are very glad we took a chance on a B&B in a little town tucked out of the way and can't wait to return! Thank you Chloe!

If you're looking for a 5-star bed and breakfast that's secluded (just enough outside of the main city) with lots of privacy, ambiance, and comfort ... you had better come here! My husband and I have been here previously and it just keeps getting better (honestly!) Our favorite innkeeper, Chloe, knows how to cater to every guest's needs. The breakfasts she provides ... the special touches to the rooms ... the stories she shares ... all 5-star! She's a creative genius and all the rooms are so beautifully decorated. You will not want to leave. We're already trying to plan our next visit there. The first time we were there, it was Valentine's weekend and she was able to get us some red roses for the room that were the most beautiful we have ever seen. If you want privacy and quiet time away from the noise of the city or everyday stresses, this is the place for you. We fell in love with the rooms ... the beautiful scenery (magnificent) and we fell in love with Chloe! You will always have a wonderful experience there. THANKS, CHLOE!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful!

I've stayed at the Big Mill Bed and Breakfast several times and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Although I've stayed in other rooms, far and away my favorite is the Mardi Gras suite. It's roomy, and distinctively decorated. Because several of my visits have been in November, the gas fire in the living room is enormously comforting and cheerful. You can relax in the comfortable squashy sofas by the fireplace. And having two beds in the bedroom means that you can share with a friend when traveling to a "girls week out" on the Outer Banks. (It's usually hard to find a nice B&B room with two beds.) The breakfast is always delicious (and more than you can eat) with quiche, orange juice, fresh fruit (usually with an edible flower as garnish), homemade granola, English muffins, and homemade nut, fruit, or pumpkin bread. Always a treat!

Room Tip: Mardi Gras Suite with the fireplace!

We visited Big Mill the last week in September 2013. It was so great we are going back a second time the first weekend of December. Big Mill has a charm and comfort that is so welcoming and Chloe is just the best. Sharing experiences and stories, her wonderful breakfast and the lovely surroundings leave you with wonderful memories of being there. Sooo we are going back !!

This is our second time to Big Mill for our anniversary. Big Mill is beyond quaint, it is downright magical. The wonderfully decorated rooms. The cozy fireplace that my husband just loves. The wonderfully filling breakfast - all organic too! Chloe, the hostess with the mostest! She is a delight within itself. We were late coming in to check in, we had to eat at Prime Smoke House in Rocky Mount for dinner (I'm from CA and they had the BEST salmon and crab cakes ever this side of the MS!) thus making us a wee bit late. Chloe, knowing how much we loved the fireplace, had a small fire going for us upon arrival and our room was lit up like in the magazines. It yelled, "Welcome! We've been waiting for you!" She has all the info about what to do, where to eat, what to see and all of the that in a book in your room. She really did all of the research for you. She loves Eastern, NC and so do we because of her. We will be back soon Chloe and this time it will be just because! Thank you for creating such a magical place for all in the middle of Williamston, NC!

Room Tip: We loved the Corn Crib but will get the Pack House when we bring our kids. They would roam the farm...

A home of Yesteryear with the comforts of today. A delightful place that will bring back memories of a slower more connected time. Chloe the owner brings heart to the place running the place like you were a guest at her parents house years ago. The owner grew up in this place and has wonderful stories that add another dimension to Big Mill. A must stay place if they have a room.

Room Tip: Ask Chloe with good places to see and eat in the area.
