We were pleasantly surprised, actually amazed at what a great place this is to stay. The house itself, the amenities and the plethora of outdoor sitting areas around the property. We well certainly return again. We can not say enough about the inn keepers! Breakfast was also delightful,

My wife and I spent two nights and had a lovely time. Upon arrival we were hosted so generously we instantly felt at home. The breakfast was extra, extra good and I appreciated the vegetarian options. The inn keepers have intimate knowledge of the area, and anyone wanting advice on what to see or do should just go straight to them. In the evenings it was a real treat to sit by the fire place in the parlor and admire the wonderful restoration work completed on this house. Make sure to find the fossil on the stone chimney! Next time we are in the area we will visit them again.

We stayed at the inn twice, for the New River Marathon. The area is beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the inn keepers are real sweet hearts! Breakfast was delicious and having a keurig for coffee/tea/hot chocolate anytime was an added bonus. I highly recommend them!

We are a sponsor every year for the New River Marathon and so enjoy all of our runner guests. It was delightful to have a couple return again and stay with us. We get so much enjoyment from running a station and cheering everyone on and hearing first hand afterwards about each experience. We hope our guests come again next year for the marathon or anytime for that matter. Delightful people.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend and head to the mountains. It was close to peak with the leaves changing and Meadowsweet Gardens was a perfect location. We arrived at our charming B&B Friday night and were greated by Debra and Ken. This 19th century farmhouse was so beautiful and decorated just right. Debra and Ken have taken great pride in their farmhouse and it is well deserved. Our bedroom was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and we spent 2 days traveling through beautiful back roads. Debra and Ken are excellent cooks and the breakfasts were incredible. I expecially liked the yogurt smoothie! We will definately be back for another perfect getaway.

This restored late 19th century farm house is just as charming as it gets. The grounds and gardens are beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains. The breakfast was fantastic. The hosts were gracious and very knowledgeable about the area. It would be a great place for a wedding or group event in one of the prettiest areas of the North Carolina mountains.

I could feel relaxation the minute I walked in. From the charming "parlor" straight out of another era to the cool luxury of the lawns and pond, what a refreshing break from the "real world." This 19th century farmhouse has been lovingly blended into a modern facility to give the guests excellent service and the grace and charm of a gentler time. Friendly hospitality, including a delicious breakfast rounds out an lovely experience.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose Room and found it to provide a little more privacy which was appealing to us.

Meadowsweet Gardens was a pleasure to visit. A restored, old farmhouse in the middle of gorgeous gardens, it was relaxing, and rejuvenating. The Rose Room was pretty and comfortable. There was a great room with a homey feeling and tons of books everywhere.
There were two different breakfasts. One morning we had an old fashioned breakfast casserole and the next we had bagels and creamcheese, homeade jam, homemad protein bars and strawberry muffins.
I felt very welcome at this Inn and hope to stay there again soon

Room Tip: The Rose Room is on the first floor and light and airy.
