My wife and I went with another couple after they gave us a recommendation. This is a new location for Maggie's Galley since the old location was lost due to road widening. They have gutted an existing building and the location while somewhat hidden is easy to get to.
My wife and I had the shrimp and grits offering as it was highly recommended by our friends. It consisted of two mounds of shrimp and lobster chunks each on a round bed of seasoned grits shaped like hockey pucks and fried or baked to retain the shape. There was a wonderful sauce over and under the offering. It was delicious.
They have daily specials and last night it included an offering of appetizers, entrees and wine at reduced prices (what do you know - a special with special prices). The wine price was very reasonable for a bottle.
Our friends had alligator (it was good) and a stuffed shrimp offering (also good). We have no complaints. The placed was reasonably busy and a mixed clientele.
Dinner was hot, served promptly and all food was very good. We will go back.
