Ate there last night with my family. We were seated right away around 6 pm. Our server was very attentive, knowledgable about the menu & even made suggestions. We are locals & missed Maggie's Galley while they were closed. Since there are no other nice restaurants in town, we're pleased they have reopened. We even talked with the owner who is very attentive to her customers. We are frequent customers, will continue to be & will be sending all of our friends there. So glad you're back!

I have eaten at Maggie's for years and was very disappointed to see them have to leave the log cabin with so much atmosphere, Waited and waited for reopening. Have been there a couple of times per week since September. Very crowded at prime times, but if you go during lunch or early dinner, there is never a problem getting in. I did happen to go on a Friday night around 6:30 during primetime and found every table filled and a wait time of about 20 min. Due to number of diners, had to take a table in the back dining room which was very "elbow-to-elbow" with other diners. Just would not have been good for anyone desiring atmosphere or privacy. However, food is always wonderful and service is exemplary -- Gina and Annie always make sure everything is covered. Menu is not nearly as extensive as before move and a little more expensive.

My wife and I have eaten at Maggie's twice since they reopened in the new location, and both times we had an excellent dining experience. The seafood chowder is the best anywhere, and the seafood is super. Servers were knowledgable of the menu and were attentive. Waynesville and Maggie's Valley are fortunate to have many terrific restaurants, and Maggie's Galley is one of the best.

On a recent stay near Waynesville, N.C., we revisited this place but in a new location....Original site was unique due to the old original wood used and was bought to be torn down.......The new
place was much more modern but had some of old building reused.........The food was great the first time and just as good this time......Prepared as you like it: fried, broiled, blackened, etc.
I had the crab cakes (and they were Baltimore style) full of crab meat and not filler as some places claim.....My husband had the broiled scallops and they were done perfectly and that is hard to do......We've tried them elsewhere and they were either overdone, underdone, or drowning in sauce.......We were happy with our meals and will, of course, be going back.....

Menu has changed from before and the food was not as good as it used to be. Server was friendly but it took a while for our food to get to our table. Clams were overdone and the coleslaw had no taste to it. Their menu is much smaller than it used to be and some things we used to get are no longer on it. Probably won't go back again.
