“Good Coffee/No service”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

I don't 'like places where you have to work so hard to get some coffee and a pastry. The atmosphere is cute, a step back to coffee house days but the service is not great.. the coffee is good, the salads and sandwiches are pretentious and average.

“Yummy Comfort”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Visiting adorable Waynesville over the holidays, we were invited to Panacea for lunch. It resembles a NY city loft, open, wood, with the aroma of coffee. They grind their own and sell it. The lunch menu is varied and innovative. I had the vegetable cheese soup which was perfect for a chilly day. The half sandwich was on a fresh slice of farmhouse bread, chicken breast, aoili, lettuce, and fruit. The coffee drinks looked amazing. But, after drinking my entire mango tea, didn't have room. Wish I could have tried one. Their coffee drinks are served in big mugs, almost like soup mugs. Everyone was raving about their different mochas. Prices are a bit higher but worth it.

“Pricey for amount of food served”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Just spent lunch at Panacea and was very disappointed! My husband ordered the Devilicious Panini and it arrived with about two slices of turkey total (see picture). This sandwich is $9.55. The price is totally unjustified for the amount of meat on the sandwich! They serve their sandwiches with pretzels and fruit. The apple slices still had seeds. They didn't bother coring the apple first. The grapes had seeds as well. The pretzels were boring!

“Love This Place”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

What an awesome place. It was wonderful to see that they have keep the building that way it was instead of trying to modernizing it!!! Great Job!!! You have to try the Hen House or the Devilious (turkey and brie....Yum). Both indoor and outdoor dining....love sitting by the creek it was very peaceful. The smell of coffee when you walk in is great even when they are not roasting. We haven't been disappointed yet, this is a must try.
