We had a hearty breakfast after staying at the inn. We loved the rustic setting of the restaurant. The food was very good and the waitress was nice.

Rustic stone and old log atmoshpere. You can begin your evening in front of the fireplace upstairs or in the small living room downstairs. I asked for an extra dry martini and the waiter described it as "dry as the desert." A romantic atmosphere for you and your companion.
We have eaten at the Old Stone Inn on two ocassions and have had excellent food and attentive service on both occasions. Try the lamb if it is on the menu - excellent. Thanksgiving dinner was very good and in an intimate setting. We will be back again.

Located in a patch of woods within the city, an old inn with restaurant located in a large old two story wood cabin (bar upstairs). The food is almost always good, usual fine restaurant fare with daily specials. Easy to get to but can be hard to find as it is buried in the woods among old homes and a newer residential area. Driveway could use some repair creating some doubt about "am I going the right way." I would say there is parking for 20 cars and have never had a problem parking in 7 years except at one wine dinner on a rainy night.

I had the special for the night, a Gulf Grouper which was pan fried with a crust of pecans. Moist and flavorful. I also had the portobello mushroom appetizer which was delicious. The rack of lamb is very good on previous visits but was a disappoint ment for a friend earlier this year due to it being undercooked - the flavor is there however. Should have been sent back.

I would recommend - with the fire going it can be romantic.

While parking is a premium and you may have to hunt for a space the atmosphere at the Old Stone Inn is the prize. We have been there twice and the food has been good. Give ti a try.

The Old Stone Inn has been a pleasure every time I've eaten there. Most recently, all four guests had different types of entree and they were all over the top delicious. Lamb, Salmon, Pork & Filet.
The triple chocolate mousse was unbelieveable! The ambience is so warm & cozy and service was good, too.

Try it, you won't be disappointed!
