Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave speedy service. Drink refills were almost instant. Lasagna was fair...much too greasy though. Bread unremarkable.

The hostess was friendly and knowledgable, but from then on- the salad was limp, albeit a nice selection of greens. The breadsticks tasted "day old" (the replacements were fresh, so why serve stale bread?). The waitress was neither welcoming nor informative of any specials. The "feet" had not been removed from the scallops which were supposedly deep sea American, but size wise looked more like bay scallop. Over cooked, they were tough. My wife's spaghetti was a plebian affair- on the bright side the vegetables in the marinara looked fresh. When I asked for the hostess, the waitress refused to get her and insisted she could take care of any problems. When I suggested chef remove the feet from the scallops she looked at me in disbelief- and with an "I could care less" attitude.
Good luck if you choose to pay inflated prices for mediocre food and service; the "ambience" that you see on the outside is what you'll get on the inside..

A cut above the standard Itailian.. everything is home made and tasty! Atmosphere is great, romantic and service is pleasant and non-intrusive.

We happened upon Pasquale's while driving into Waynesville. Our server was upset because it was "almost closing time" and she had 3 tables (including us) come in to eat. We came in around 8 and they didn't close til at least 9. The food was average. My hubby had eggplant parm, but had to order a side of pasta (it didn't come with pasta?) I got a salad with tilapia. The only dressing they had was oil and vinegar. If the fish had been seasoned, it would have been nice. All in all, it was an ok experience, but there are much better places to eat in Waynesville.

Had a disappointing lunch at Pasquales, which is no longer a "Pizzeria and Tapas" bar, just a mediocre restaurant with vaguely Italian fare. The restaurant itself is dark and has a funky odor. Lunch specials were not available at 12:35 pm, during lunch! Therefore not enough was prepared, or it was a leftover special and the inventory had run out. Service was bare minimum even though there were few patrons in the dining areas. $10 for a chicken parmesan sandwich and water. If it were spectacular, no problem paying, but did not get my money's worth.
Again on service: it seemed our lunch party was an inconvenience to the server. No drink refills, no friendliness, no check. More or less an attitude of "what are you doing here?" Had to hunt her down to pay so we could return to work. This was my last meal here.
The restaurant itself is located on a run down, weedy lot with bits and pieces of former buildings lying around. Keep driving into downtown Waynesville for better choices.
