So you go there one night, and you have to have the fried green tomatoes and shrimp appetizer, then an unbelievably great steak. And the craft beers from the local brewery are a great complement to the meal, although the wine selection is terrific too. And then you start thinking about what you didn't get, so you have to go back another time within the week for the white bean chili or a fresh salad and then one of the specials -- like butternut squash risotto, or the fantastic vegetarian dish of a stuffed pepper (quinoa and goat cheese!) Service is fantastic: attentive and friendly, yet unobtrusive. Decor is warm and gives you a real sense of place, unlike some other places in the area that go overboard with the mountain motif. It's a great night out that gives you great food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's ambitions are upscale and the food shows it, yet the vibe is definitely a casual feel with a conviviality that will make you feel as if you have known the place for years and consider it your own little secret.
