We had no idea how wonderful our weekend would be until now. We were amazed at how relaxing Mark & Kari made the mountain inn experience. AND, the food was over the top. They are amazing people and you can tell they love their role. Best bang for the buck we have found in a long time. Can't wait to get back. Maybe in the snow sometime.

Room Tip: The rooms were each unique in their own way. Not a bad one in the inn.

This inn has been updated by current owners, Mark and Kari, who have been there for the past year. We stayed in the beautifully furnished Grand Library Suite, which has a lot of character. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom comes with a jacuzzi and shower. We really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the bedroom (visit during the cool time of the year). The lamps and light fixtures add to the cozy atmosphere of the room. Their website www.andonreidinn.com has great pictures of each suite. The breakfast was very tasty, and we enjoyed talks and games with the hosts and guests. The rec room has a shuffleboard table and pool table to pass the time. Downtown Waynesville is a very nice shopping district with unique stores. Asheville is a convenient 25 minute trip for many activities nearby.

Room Tip: The new Carriage House Suite is amazing.

Apologies for the late review! We stayed at Andon Reid in July as part of a road trip round Georgia and the Carolinas. Could not fault the B and B. It's beautifully renovated, and we saw all the rooms on a mini tour. Ours was lovely; we had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. Lovely clean bathroom. Breakfast was great too - we were slightly wary of the communal dining (being English!) but it was fine - we had interesting conversations with other guests, and the home made food was excellent. Different each morning, and we were able to sit outside on one of the two mornings. Andon Reid is in a good location out of town (so it was nice and quiet) but walkable to restaurants which we did both evenings on recommendations from the hosts; both were excellent. One was called The Glass Onion. There are no taxis in Waynesville that we could find, so this was good that we could walk and enjoy a drink. We sat outside in the garden on our return around the fire pit watching the fire flies, which was a lovely end to the evening. Another good point to this B and B is that children are not allowed, so it was nice and peaceful. More places should do this! We would highly recommend this B and B and give it a 100% rating. Really made our stay in Waynesville.

Room Tip: They all looked great!

Beautiful property with kind and helpful hosts. Such a nice overnight stay. Highly recommend! Very clean. Enjoyed the new carriage house. Breakfast was delicious. Hope to visit again some day. The recommended dinner at the Sweet Onion was also yummy.

This was our first visit to Andon-Reid B&B, and having learned the history of this beautiful B&B, we can say that Mark and his wife Kari have done an amazing job as the new owners of this gorgeous inn. Mark took the time to show us the recent renovations and additions that they have completed, and it was clear that their attention to detailed improvements for guests' comfort while preserving the heritage of the home was the priority. From carefully restoring the original hardwood floors in the formal dining room to adding the carriage house, a gorgeous stone patio and firepit, and changing the landscape of the outside of the B&B to be more bright and tranquil, their improvements to the B&B have been aimed to invite guests into a luxurious and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, we love Deneen pottery and enjoyed being able to keep our tradition here of getting a coffee mug from each B&B we stay at.

We decided to stay in the Mountain View Room because we enjoy taking our tea and coffee on a quiet balcony together first thing in the morning. Mark and Kari recently renovated this room, and although it is one of the smaller rooms, it was very cozy and comfortable, with an electric fireplace, in-room Keurig coffeemaker, robes, a vanity bench area separate from the sink in the bathroom, and a private balcony with serene mountain views. We enjoyed both the loveseat glider as well as the table and chairs on our balcony, and turned on the fireplace in the evening while enjoying our wine.

This may have been the best guest-interaction atmosphere we have encountered at any B&B we've stayed at so far. The breakfast area, extensive recreation room on the lower level and the firepit on the new patio out back really give guests a chance to meet, interact, and share fun times together. We were especially fond of late nights by the fire pit enjoying glasses of wine with a host new friends we met (other guests). The tea selection here is noteworthy, and each of the loose teas we tried (with local honey) were delicious.

Overall, while Kari was away during the time we stayed, Mark did everything he could to make our stay, as well as for all of the other guests we met, as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. We had a wonderful time! The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon treats were a gourmet delight! Mark is very informed about the local attractions in the Waynesville and Asheville area, and can give you great recommendations for fun activities and also for dining. He is so committed to guest satisfaction that he even took the time to quickly send us a shirt we left behind. He is a kind and gracious host, and we look forward to meeting his wife Kari on our next visit. As many of the other couples said who were returning here for their anniversaries, "we'll be back!"

Room Tip: The carriage house and the White Sulfur Suite are very private, spacious and romantic rooms with whi...

This was my second visit to Andon Reid. I stayed in the newly constructed carriage house suite. It was a wonderful oasis. The fireplace, deep tub, multiple head shower to the push of a button shades make this is a luxurious retreat. Mark and Kari think of everything! Homemade baked treats are yummy. As a solo traveler I felt right at home meeting other individuals and couples over breakfast or at the evening fire pit. The main house, steps away is huge, open and airy. And the view? Magnificent and unobstructed. It is a great location, quick jaunt to the Biltmore, hiking or waterfalls.

Room Tip: The carriage house is worth every penny.

After many visits to this B&B it continues to be among our favorite experiences. There are plenty of area attractions in the valley and in Asheville to occupy multiple visits. Accommodations and breakfast at Andon Reid have always been top notch. Our thanks to Mark & Keri for their hospitality.
