“Thanksgiving in the mountains”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

Our family took the White Sulphur Suite and had privacy as well as a great view of the mountains. Being our third time staying with Ron and Rachel, we expected and received their amazing hospitality, which always includes a tasty breakfast and excellent direction to either a restaurant or a place for sightseeing. You just cannot beat the downstairs with top notch workout equipment, as well as the game room.
We will be back in the spring.

Room Tip: It is better to call Rachel on the phone to get all of the detais of each room.

We were just passing through when we found this B&B. Rachel and Ron were warm and welcoming as they showed us around the house and gave us a suggestions for dinner. The room was beautiful, quiet, and had a wonderful bathroom! They had a wonderful breakfast ready for us in the morning and were so helpful with information for local attractions. I recommend this place highly.

Room Tip: The Study Suite on the first floor has a great tub, and the shower has amazing water pressure.

We came for our second stay and had as great a time as our first visit. Ron and Rachel are excellent hosts and Rachel is a superb cook. We have stayed in several B/B's and this one is vastly superior. The workout/game room in the basement is great as is the garden room. We love the bedrooms and highly recommend the library room. Waynesville is a lovely town with outstanding dining establishments. My wife loves the shopping as well. If you enjoy the mountains this is as good as it gets.

Room Tip: See above.

Great place to stay - excellent breakfasts, lots of things to do downstairs (shuffleboard, pool, exercise equipment, games, and a sauna). We loves walking around the town and Ron and Rachel gave us several restaurant choices - we chose the Chef's Table and I had the best grouper I've ever had in my life. Love the fireplaces in the rooms. They also support our troops for a overnight visit. Great people and we plan on going back for our 3rd visit. Our friends from NJ loved it also.

This was our second visit to the Andon-Reid Inn and would highly recommend this beautiful B&B when staying in or near Waynesville. You will not be disappointed.
My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's throughout the country but none will surpass the Andon-Reid Inn. Mainly because of the innkeepers-Rachel and Ron. They are extraordinary host, gracious, very personable and their attention to every detail will make your stay memorable. Rachel is a fabulous cook. Breakfast is outstanding and a real 'treat' -might even be the highlight of your trip...We had originally booked 4nights and did not hesitate to say yes when Rachel informed us that our room was available for one more night. We even made our reservations for next year . Don't hesitate to book a room and see for yourself.

Room Tip: All are wonderful. View rooms from their website as they are 'right on'

Upon arrival, Rachel and Ron were genuinely friendly, interesting, and interested in us. Rachel gave us an enthusiastic tour of the inn, and it was clear that she and Ron really enjoy what they are doing. The Inn is very comfortable, spotless, and has a feeling of welcome. My husband and I were in the area for hiking, and they were as helpful about hikes as we could see they were for the others staying at the inn who had other interests.

Rachel and Ron live on the property, and were much more available than the hosts in most such places. Whenever I began chatting with one of them, the time flew!
When we left after 3 days, in addition to having wonderful breakfasts every day, I felt like we had met real friends in Rachel and Ron, and I hope to see them again in the future.

My husband and I just returned from a four night stay at Andon-Reid Inn. Our stay truly was EXTRAORDINARY! When we arrived, Ron promptly met us outside, helped us with our luggage, took us into the inn to show us around, while Rachel was busy in the kitchen preparing one of her yummy afternoon snacks. The attention to detail is what I love about this inn. The fireplaces in every room, the big "floppy" couches, the bar, always stocked with soft drinks... with homemade cookies, and snacks, the really cool rec room downstairs with another bar, pool table & shuffle board. There are so many little places to just sit and relax, read or just hang out. Breakfast is AMAZing! Where can you go to get a 3 course breakfast and "boom".. guess what the 3rd course is dessert!!! I was so excited to learn that I could purchase Rachel's cookbook before I left to "try" to whip up her scrumptous creations in my kitchen. Last but not least, what to say about Rachel and Ron..except that by the time we left I truly felt like they were old friends..they are so personable, available to attend to your every need, whether it be suggesting activities, making dinner reservations for you or just taking time out of their busy day to chat. We already have made plans to go back. A big thanks to The Reid's for a wonderful stay.
