Inside Pheasant Hill you will find antiques and antique reproductions -- and coffee, cake and truffles.
We stopped by this shop to see their life-size wooden bear and discovered they serve coffee and dessert. We had just eaten so we had no room for dessert. It's a pity because their pastry case held at least 15 kinds of cake. These are the kind that sit 4-layers high and are covered in coconut or cinnamon. They looked delicious.
Instead we opted for coffee -- a cappuccino, a latte and a mocha latte. The coffee was good and the cafe area had a nice cozy feel to it. The furniture is reminiscent of a mountain lodge and there is a couch by the fireplace.
We met the owner who is exceptionally nice. The staff was all very friendly.
We wandered the store and looked at the merchandise while we drank our coffee. They have some really unique items.
As we made our way back around to the coffee counter, we finally spotted a cooler full of truffles in about a dozen flavors. And they were half price! Unfortunately we were still too stuffed to try them.
I'm not sure the casual pedestrian would notice the coffee service inside this shop. But it's definitely worth a stop. Nice people and good coffee.
