My family and I just stayed at this property. It is very poorly maintained. There were broken and missing mini-blinds, light bulbs missing and not working, a tear in the carpeting leaving metal exposed, outlets in the kitchen that didn't work, TV's from the 90's, air conditioner problems, a huge crack in the concrete around the pool, small appliances that were probably put in when it was built and never upgraded. Two of the bedrooms had no cable and the people staying in them had no idea they needed DVD's to watch the TV. My bed frame was broken and was sitting on a cinder block.
This could be a really nice place, if someone just cared about it.....
This is an older home that needs some basic repair and upkeep as well as a good deep clean. There's plenty of space for a large group. The home lay out is weird with the game room on the main level, bedrooms in the middle, and living space on the top level. All of the stairs and no safety gates anywhere (besides the pool entrance) do not make this a child friendly home. The beach is a 5 minute walk over a large dune, which is difficult if you have any physical limitations at all. The waves are too rough and the water too cold to enjoy in Mid to late May. There are dogs and dog feces on the beach. The pool is nice and the hot tub is a necessity at this location. The hot water heaters will not keep up with a large group and the kitchen basics are lacking. Overall, we're less pleased with this rental than we are pleased. Without a doubt, we will not return.
Plenty of room for our family group with an elevator for my parents who cannot use stairs. Hot tub, pool, game room were nice, although we didn't use the pool in December. A great time yo visit the Outer banks if you seek peace and no crowds. The beds were too firm for me and the house is in need of some updating. Overall we enjoyed our stay. A great location close to the beach and the Rodanthe Pier which has reopened during season. Good place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Although it is pet-friendly we did not take ours,
