Lovely home and gracious hostess. We stayed during the week off season so attention was a bit limited. The promised newspaper in the family room was absent but the French toast served at breakfast more than made up for any shortcoming. It would be a pleasure to return, perhaps on a weekend when more guests are present. Thank you Virgina.

Our room at Pamlico House was beautifully decorated, and had every amenity the traveler would want. It is obvious that Virginia has tried to provide an inn where every person experiences "Southern Hospitality." Washington itself is a charming little town, worth exploring. We chose Pamlico House for its proximity to Bath, where we were attending a family wedding, and if our travels bring us back to that area, we will certainly plan to stay there again.

Room Tip: The Washington room was on the ground floor, large room with a closet and an armoire.

Virginia, the proprietor and owner, is warm, easy to talk with, and helpful in planning your adventures in Washington and surrounding areas. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were comfortable and inviting for my family. The home is decorated beautifully and pristine.

A beautiful place to gather with friends. We enjoyed the happy hour on Friday and met one of the artists from Washington. Virginia made 3 wonderful breakfasts. I would love to go back someday!

We picked Washington NC for a stopover because it is the closest town offering full travelers services to the Swan Quarter ferry about 60 miles to the east. We are only sorry that we didn't allow more time to visit the Washington NC area and spend more time at Pamlico House.

We are experienced hands at visiting B&B's. Pamilco House ranks with one of the best. From room decor to housekeeping to breakfast offering, the property excels.

The owner, Virginia, was most accommodating by serving breakfast earlier than normal so we could make a 10am ferry and by providing a winning personality and surprise amenities.

Pamlico House has my unqualified recommendation.

On our 65th wedding anniversary trip we stayed at Pamlico House B&B. Having been there several times in the 1980s we were delighted to find the beauty and comfort continues to be top notch !
Virginia, the owner- operator of the B&B, has shown exquisite taste in the decoration. Her efferescent personality enlivens her relationship with her guests. Interaction among the guests at the gourmet breakfast added to the very positive experence.

We stumbled on this by accident after the B&B in nearby Bath where we had planned to stay was closed. Virginia is a delightful host who is trying hard to make this a first class B&B experience. She hosts regular get-togethers with neighbours to which guests are invited, and has opened a small wine store adjacent to the B&B. Our room was large, clean and comfortable (we especially loved the ironed sheets!) and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
