The staff at the Fayetteville location was more than helpful. The facility itself is under renovation, but was in serious need of much more. The shower and bathroom was cramped and lacked water pressure. The towels were small and uselessly thin. The bed was comfortable. The Heat/AC appeared to be from the early 80's.
11/9/2013 I pulled into this motel, figuring that Days Inns are usually pretty good and all I needed to do was stretch my body out and sleep just for a couple hours as I was falling asleep on the road after driving from upstate NY heading to SC. This was about 2am and I planned to be back on the road at 6am..
First.. the parking is a joke, you have to carry your bags across the lawn to where ever your room is and there are no parking spots infront of the motel.. on a dark side drive...
Second.. I get a room, it was a smoking room.. not like I was going to smoke I wanted sleep!! I finally drag a bag across the lawn and up the stairs to my room. 250..
I opened the door and the smell of dog piss hit you hard. im like OMG.. But there were supposedly no other rooms so i thought just spay stuff and just sleep.. Well I pulled down the covers to check as I always do and don't trust these places. and YUP the sheets were stained.. there was black specks all on them. The box spring was OMG stained and gross.. .. both beds were like this. a blanket had burn holes in it..
I turned the heater on as it was 31 degrees out. and it smelt like something was burning in it including dust and urine.
SO I get my own blanket from my car and lay it on the bed just so i could rest some. i look up and the ceiling is all falling apart. cracks, holes, water stain, falling plasters.. etc.
Ok so I couldnt deal with that. So I pulled out the chair at the desk.. though i would sleep sitting up just to get a little sleep to finish the last 125 miles of my journey.. I pulled the chair out not only did it have cob webs all over it, IT HAD MOLD BETWEEN THE RUNGS...
So after laying on my blanket trying to ignore the stench and issues and I start to itch... there were fleas. now i understand when you have a place that excepts dogs this could be a issued. but as a animal rescuer, I KNOW the ways to kill them inbetween every visit.. this is lazy non caring staff.. This place should be condemned..
I have welts and red dots all over my feet and legs. my neck and fore arms.. I tried to tell the guy as i went to the office in the morning and he mumbled something and shrugged his shoulders. that told me all I needed to know..
I want a full refund and should charge your for the medication I got to stop the itching and infection from these bites..
Even crack motels are cleaner then this dump..
I was on my way home and decided to stop in fayettevile for some of the awesome strip clubs. Since I was looking to spend my money on strippers not a motel I stayed here for $42 a night with a coupon. I didn't expect much but when I walked in it was surprisingly nice.
Blue walls, decent furniture, I was happy. Until...the internet crapped out. What the heck. I called the front desk and the woman blamed it on my computer and claimed that there was nothing she could do, that it just does that sometimes.
I hate front dek people that dont have enough common sense to unplug the router and then plug it back in. Because of that you lose a star.
Very unpleasant stay. Loud walking in room above kept me up most of night. Pet friendly is the same as unfriendly to people with allergies. I was congested during stay. My breathing improved when I left hotel.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Its an older hotel but it wasnt bad. Cleanliness is most important to us. The only problem I had was that you could hear people outside very clearly. It was almost like the window was open. All in all it was a good place to stay a night to break up a long trip.
