When I return in April, it will be my third visit to this exceptionally wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Anne goes out of her way to make your stay one of a kind and you feel so comfortable just as though you were in your own home. Lovely rooms, delicious food and even a massage which is a real treat. Of all the many places I've been, this is one of the best and I know you'd love it too.

Room Tip: I've tried a couple of the rooms but loved the mountain view one the most.

Very nice. This was our 1st stay and we would love to return. Room & common areas great, as was the breakfast. Nice view; wild life in wooded area; we saw 5 deer from our balcony.

We had one of the rooms at the rear of the inn and although a little small (with a slightly small bed), it was comfortable, peaceful, had a good bathroom and truly wonderful views of the mountains from our balcony. The main, shared room and outdoor area also have stunning views and are lovely places to sit and look at the mountains.Very peaceful.

Anne (the owner) is great! She is helpful, efficient and amusing! And of course there are Bo and Bella, who are the 2 large dogs and very happy to have a fuss made over them.

Would certainly recommend and stay there again.

This place is great. Guy's, this is a great place to take your lady friend or wife. My wife and I just spent our anniversary there. I called ahead and Anne, the innkeeper, picked up a wonderful cake and flowers for me. Talk about service! Anne is wonderful and goes the extra mile to make your stay great. Breakfast is fantastic, and there is an abundance of wildlife on the property as well as beautiful views. We already made reservations for next year. Can't go wrong with this place.

From the minute you walk up the sidewalk and hear the waterfall then walk through the front door and hear soft music playing and catch a glimpse of the view you know you found serenity. Anne makes you feel right at home and she's very accommodating to your needs. She was born to be an InnKeeper. This is our second time staying at Lazy Bear and we decided to come back and spend our 5th anniversary here. I didn't think we could top our first visit but we did - All thanks to Anne and Mark. My husband worked with Anne, behind my back, to have a cake and flowers ordered from the locals. Trust me, Anne has connections. The cake was delicious and the flowers were the largest bouquet of fresh flowers I'd ever received. As many guests have said breakfast was delicious whether you get the daily special or eggs etc. The rooms and inn are very clean and tastefully decorated. Bo and Bella are a great asset to the place and helped make us feel at home. We stayed 3 nights and met some really great people which helped add to our experience. The grand finale to our trip was the couples massage. Best massage we ever had and it was so nice not to have to get into the car to go get it. We already made our reservations for our anniversary next year and hope to plan a trip in between. Not sure i can go another year without seeing all that Lazy Bear offers. It's true serenity and you won't be let down.

Room Tip: rooms with a balcony are very private and nice when temps outside permits using them.

Love, love, love this little piece of heaven on earth! Stayed at many B & B's before but this one is it!! When in the mountains of North Carolina we will never go anywhere else! Nature surrounds you in this beautiful log home with a cozy fireplace, comfy bed with drop your jaw views from your very own private deck. Wake up at your leisure because breakfast is cooked to order from 8:30 to 10:00, not like other places that tell you when breakfast is served. If you happen to be looking for a B & B in the Boone, NC area....we've tried them all and this one is the very best!

Room Tip: Actually there is no "fitness center" unless you include walking through the garden areas...

We escaped the heat of South Carolina to enjoy the mountain air and recharge our batteries. We booked the Garden room at the Lazy Bear lodge. The room was very relaxing with great looking hard wood, a gas fireplace with electric switch, a jetted tub with separate shower, and one of the cushiest plush beds we ever slept in. We just melted into it.
They offer an ice machine which for those of you who have stayed in B&Bs before know that is a blessing. Each night they offered homemade cookies and fresh baked pie (yummy!). We were told to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen which was very nice.
Each night we opened our window and fell asleep to the sounds of crickets and a babbling brook.
In the morning we were treated to an awesome breakfast which includes a special (waffle one day and stuffed french toast the next for us) and a standard eggs, meat, toast, and hashbrowns. The chef/owner is very talented as reflected by the great taste and presentation. Every thing was prepared to perfection.
We watched the deer feed at dusk and were treated to scampering squirrels chittering at each other during breakfast.
Our favorite animals were Bo and Bella the resident porch puppies who made sure the guests are never lonely. They are the sweetest most well behaved dogs we have ever shared a B&B with.
All in all this place is the bomb. We debated reviewing it since we wanted to keep it for ourselves but we can't be greedy. Book early they book up fast especially in the fall.

Room Tip: Go for the Garden room for it's king sized bed and babbling brook!
