Dinner at Caro-Mi was very good last Saturday night. The restaurant is open Wed-Sat only.
Times are on their website as is their menu. The menu is very heavy on fish. Fried chicken, chicken tenders and ham are available. Sides are served family style and you can get refills on the sides. Green beans, macaroni salad, cooked apples. Baked potato comes with some items.I had the trout which was excellent but ordered the almondine butter sauce on the side. I think the fish would drown if they poured it. The trout was excellent. My dining companions also enjoyed their dinners. Most prices are $17. The cold boiled shrimp plate has 8 decent size shrimp. THey do not serve alcholol but you can bring your own BUT there is a set up charge. Since we didn't do that I can't comment on the cost of the fee just that there is one. Their ice tea is the best I hav had in quite some time. Gotta be that mountain water! The location is lovely, The restaurant is very rustic and sits on a lovely stream. surrounded by trees. Parking is in front and in back. You cross over a covered bridge. The verhandah runs the full lenght of the restaurant and rocking chairs makes your wait enjoyable. Reservations are recommended.
