We have eaten here ever since it opened. We had eaten weekly at the owner's "Café at the Mall" in Forest City" and enjoyed wonderful food and conversation. The Tryon location is attractive but to noisy for conversation when it is busy. Often the service is extremely slow. We have stopped going there for lunch for those reasons but stop in to pick up wonderful baked goods.

I love North Trade!!!! It has fabulous food for a reasonable price!! These people obviously can cook! A wide variety of food, even for the picky palate. From meat dishes to vegetarian dishes, breads, desserts, etc. This bakery will not disappoint! It will leave you dreaming about coming back! It did me!! :)

The cafe is nicely light and open. The menu features unusual, salads, two soups of the day, a featured entre and some unusual sandwiches. The Croque Monsieur was loaded with thin ham slices. The favorite was dessert, which you can choose from two large glass cases. We chose an excellent lemon tart and a slice of the best chocolate toffee cake I've ever eaten. Tryon is only a few miles off I 26 at the NC/SC line and an interesting little town to look around in.

Soup, salad, sandwiches all excellent as us the fresh baked bread. There is a huge case of freshly made desserts to tempt those with a sweet tooth. Highly recommended!
