“Yum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

They recently changed the name to just Gettis. But it has been remodeled which is nice. I have eaten there since I was a kid. It is my favorite pizza. It's buffet style or you can order a specific pizza or get it to go. They have a drive through window in case you call a pizza in. Also, if there don't have your favorite pizza on the buffet then just ask and they will make it. There hamburger pizza is awesome!

“Good Pizza Buffet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2012

My kids LOVE this place. My family likes the pizza a lot better than Cicis. The dessert pizza is really good and my kids love the pasta (spaghetti, rotini, marinara sauce, meat sauce, and mac&cheese) and the pudding and nila wafers for dessert.

“Decent pizza for the price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2011

I've grown up eating at Gatti's pizza buffet in Thomasville but haven't eaten there for many years. So when I heard they had changed ownership and remodeled I wanted to try it out again.

The restaurant itself has received a complete overhaul. Brand new floors, brand new paint and wall art, nice new flat screen TVs. They even took out the slightly raised section and made it a separate room with it's own TV, which is nice when you don't want to sit in the main part. In addition, the buffet, which was formally only available at certain times of the day, is now available from open to close!

As far as the food goes, the pasta is pretty good. The pizza can be hit or miss, but for the price you pay it completely blows the slop they serve at Cici's out of the water. And if you happen to visit at non-peak time (between 2pm and 5pm) the cashier will usually ask you what kind of pizza you would like. They make it fresh right then and there which is when this pizza is at it's best (better than some delivery chains even). There are a very wide variety of toppings, including BBQ chicken and cheeseburger-style pizzas. Try them before you pass on them - you might end up being pleasantly surprised.

The dessert pizza is also excellent but best when fresh.

The biggest improvement food-wise is the salad bar, which has been completely revamped with the remodel. It's not going to compare selection-wise to, say, Golden Corral, but for that all inclusive price you pay it's pretty darn excellent.

My only real complaint is that the size of the restaurant is a little on the small side. During periods of highest traffic on Friday and Saturday evenings you may end up waiting to find seating. However, that's also usually when they're constantly cooking pizza so it's usually worth the wait.

I can't recommend this place highly enough for families or for people that just looking for decent quality buffet pizza and an affordable price.

“Price increase - not worth it. Don't bother.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2009

Our family has eaten at Mr. Gatti's for many years and thought it was a good place to go occasionally. We stopped by recently and found that they now charge a flat fee for the entire buffet which includes a beverage. We explained we prefer water, but the same price applied. The food has always been mediocre at best, which has not changed. Pizzas were very skimpy in toppings, and the salad bar was messy. We won't go back. For cheaper and much better food, we plan to go to Elizabeth's Pizza instead, or better yet, Copper Landing.
