Enjoyed the proximity to places we were visiting in the area but not exactly a camp ground for hanging out and relaxing. The onsite staff were very nice and helpful but the space we stayed was very tight and while there was a nice creek behind us, it did not mask the noise of the busy highway. The RV park was clean and everyone was friendly but as noted we were very close to others parked on each side of us. In fact I was concerned that we would not be able to extend our awning without hitting the rig on the awning side. Also there was not a grill at our site so glad we brought our own.

I have camped here are Fort Tatham twice. The place was always clean. The rates were always reasonable. The people were always friendly. I camped out next to a little creek in my tent and slept safe and sound.

Great place to camp. The people running the park were very friendly and helpful. The improvements are very impressive. We can't wait to go back again next year. The rates are very reasonable for the area.

The personnel were friendly and helpful. Much of the campground we loved. The pool and community fire pit was great as well as friendly campers and full timers. What we didn't like was there were no trees or cable tv. They did have Wi-Fi.

We camped here for the month of October. Even though a lot of the park is permanent residents in rv/cabins that are owned, they all were very friendly and welcomed the overnight/weekly/monthly campers. We enjoyed a chili cookoff and several bon fires that were in the common area. This park is near Sylva, Dillsboro, Waynesville, Franklin and other mountain towns. The leaf season is usually beautiful in this area of the state. We visit this area frequently but this was our first visit to Ft. Tatham. We will return in the future. One place not to miss is Barbers Apple Orchard at mile marker 96 of Hwy 74 on the west side of Waynesville. Barber's has the best apple cakes and turnovers to die for. (only open Aug 1 - Dec 24)
