“Great lunch”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Several of us ate lunch here on 11/11/13. We had been planning on eating here earlier, but were deterred by several negative reviews, both on the web and from friends. After spending the weekend in Surf City, we decided to stop for lunch on our way out of town and decide for ourselves. We were all so glad we did! I had the cheeseburger on a toasted bun that was freshly grilled and delicious; my friend had a chicken salad sandwich that she enjoyed; the best, though, was the special that day - a grilled pork loin. My sister ordered this and it came with mac n cheese and collards as sides. It was all very yummy. We had good service, even though we arrived after a decent sized group. We would love to eat here again, especially in warmer weather to enjoy the outside areas.

“Really Good Lunch, Okay Breakfast”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

With a lack of options on Topsail at Surf City over the Thanksgiving day weekend our large group enjoyed a lunch at Sears Landing the day after. Good Seafood (shrimp better than flounder but still good), interesting sides, pleasant view attentive staff. Everyone happy. So we went back the next day for breakfast as we were leaving the island to go home.

Good breakfast choices, prices good. Omelets and scrambled eggs no problem. Fried eggs were overbrowned and rubbery. Sent back one order to be recooked, just not edible.Recook on two eggs over medium took close to 10 minutes. Way too long.Still overall a good breakfast. Still good service. Still a beautiful location. Still recommend. Just get an omelet,

“Very good seafood and friendly staff”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Stopped in on a rainy day in Surf city and was very pleased with the food and the wait staff. We started the meal with the thai coconut crab bisque which was very tasty and a nice start to the meal. For lunch I had the crab cake, which was very big, and the grilled shrimp. Both were seasoned perfectly and there was a fun assortment of dipping sauces. My husband had the shrimp po boy. The battering on the shrimp was very light and didn't take away from the great taste of the shrimp. Overall a great lunch!

“very good breakfast”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

We've had dinner there once and neither of us was impressed. We decided not to go back. But then we tried them for breakfast and let me tell you....it was great. It might even be the best breakfast we've had in the area. We've never tried the lunch. I highly recommend it if you want a good breakfast with a view.

“Good Food, But Rip-Off Prices....”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

Just visited last week, and the post-season prices have been boosted AGAIN from "Rip-Off" to "Ridiculous". The food is good, but the same items can be ordered at much better prices and at much more desirable locations such as Daddy Mac's (Surf City oceanfront), Oceanic (Wrightsville Beach oceanfront & pier), Bluewater (WB ICW-front), etc....they seriously should reconsider their pricing structure.....
