Looking for a quiet place to spend some time on the beach, this place is for you. Beautiful rooms, great staff and an excellent location to Sunset Island. It is a must stay location!

They offer a nice breakfast room with sunny porches and wind swept views. You will enjoy your stay!

The Hatteras Room is one of our favorites and it provides the perfect atmosphere for a little romance. Thank you for choosing to stay with us for your 17th Anniversary. We will keep the champagne on ice for your 18th!

Me and my husband Bob decided to do a overnite getaway to a local beach B&B. I found the Sunset
Inn on a web site and we decided to take the chance. Wow!! you have such a cute little place there
and we were so pleasantly surprized. we stayed in the azeala room, and it was so comfy and
romantic. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony outside our room overlooking the marsh
and sipping our favorite beverages. The weather cooperated, and we had a wonderful beach day
also! Needless to say we did not want to go home....sigh!!! We will be back again!!! Thank You
for your wonderful hospitality.

My husband and I stayed in the Hatteras room the first weekend of June for our 3rd anniversary. The room was well decorated, very clean and very quiet. We had a great time. There was a bottle of champagne in our room waiting for us when we arrived. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway. We can't wait to go back!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Sunset Inn and we had another great visit. Super clean rooms, great hospitality, good view of the Inter coastal waterway and easy walk to the beach add up to a wonderful place to stay. We can't wait to go back next year.

We booked for our anniversary pretty much based upon TripAdvisor recommendations and the Sunset Inn's own website. Between the two, we came with great expectations. We were not disappointed.

We stayed in the Old Baldy room which is a corner room on the 1st living floor. It had a king bed, living area, decent-sized bathroom with a two-person whirlpool tub and separate shower, a small fridge, microwave, wet bar area and even an air purifier system.

But the piece de resistance was the porch. Oh, my! It was quite large with a two-person swing, two rocking chairs, a small table, plenty of area and all screened in - all overlooking the marsh and the intra-coastal waterway! The only way it could have possible been better is if the Inn was on the ocean and the porch overlooked it. Just to let you know how nice it was. We are the types who, when we go somewhere, have to get up, have breakfast, and get out and do things. Which we planned to do here - until we saw the porch. We spent the better part of the day just lounging around on the porch, watching the world go by. Relaxation at its best.

The breakfasts were quite good. Always a hot dish, some baked bread or muffin, cold cerals, fruit, bagels, coffee, etc. We took ours back to our room to eat - you guessed it - on the porch!

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and had set us up with reservations the two nights at two outstanding locations.

The location is near-perfect. Sunset Beach is a bit quieter than some other parts of the NC coast, which suited us fine. The inn is a short, 1/4 mile walk to the beach and/or pier with a few shops in between, including a small grocery store that made pretty good grinders.

We will certainly be back. But, we won't plan much. Just relax on the porch!

Room Tip: Old Baldy, and a few others, are "Grand Rooms", which, I think, means a whirlpool and prob...

Thank you for the wonderful review of the Inn and the Old Baldy room. We are so glad that you were able to enjoy the porch! The rockers are nice but everyone loves the porch swings! Please come back to see us when you need some more R&R!
