First, let me state the obvious. This is canned and frozen food and all you have to do is walk to the cash register, look through the pass-through counter and you will see the canned foods of every type from floor to ceiling in chrome shelves, four stacks to a row, four rows deep.
Now that we have established that fact, you can judge all "reviews" on that knowledge. Locals seem easily impressed with the limit of culinary choice in the area.
These are nice enough people and the place is clean, but this food took me back 35 years to the tastes of instant potatoes and powered gravies served at cafes' along the Grey Hound Bus lines throughout the south.
Everything seems either canned, frozen or bagged. When the nice waitress told me the seafood was fresh, I assume she was speaking of the expiration date on the frozen bags of shrimp which we watched the cook pour into the deep fryer.
If you like canned food and frozen TV dinners, you may enjoy eating here. Patrons seemed to be equally half construction contractors and half retirees.
Two good things about this café: The food is cheap, and the place is clean.
