“Awesome Dude!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Hostess top of the line, wait staff - too, all friendly, service minded and aim to please their customers. The atmosphere is good better with candles (hint) and some wine. The food? You will not be disappointed with quality, taste or menu. We had a good sampling of NC down home cooking. We will go back when we return to the area.

“A little bit of heaven near the inland waterway”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

A longtime visitor to Sunset Beach NC you will have to pass by Twin Lakes - stop and have the best seafood platter and hush puppies with honey butter you have ever had. Seriously, give it a try. It may be busy and worth the wait. A trip to the beach has to include a dinner at Twin Lakes.

“Favorite around here.”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Twin Lakes has become our favorite seafood restaurant in the area and living here gives us lots of choices. The food is always prepared well and never has that "greasy taste" even if you order it fried. Others must agree since it's been under the same ownership for 43 years. I have eaten there since the late 70's. Great views of the inland waterway to enjoy with your food. Senior dishes will fill you up, but not drag you down.

“Same old same old”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

When you go to beach community for vacation always be careful of the typical "seafood" places. You would think ...hey on the water fresh delicious fish etc. The food was typical of places near the water. Fried everything with a large dose of greese. I think the locals probably like it but coming from NY it really didnt cut it...Wasnt horrible like the place we went to in Maryland a few years ago but we had hoped for better.

Been eating at Twin Lakes for over twenty years. Never a bad experience. Better than most! You can depend on finding something out of the ordinary on the menu and complimented with great desserts.
