Stopped on a whim looking for a late breakfast/ brunch. Pleasant surprise. Great food with friendly service. Price was ridiculously low. Will become a regular stop. Not acquainted with any owner or staff.

“Surprise!”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

We have hesitated eating at the new Blue Marlin because of some of the reviews but decided we always "give it a try". We like to support new business so we went. I can honestly say we enjoyed our meal very much. We had the fish and shrimp platter which was buy one get one free. Who can resist that? Not greasy, fresh, hot, tasty and plenty food. I brought home part of mine. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the slaw. Don't know what it was but it had an odd taste. I just left it to the side. Jessica was our waitress and she did an excellent job. I told her the reviews had been bad and she said they realized it and felt it was because of inexperienced cooks who first worked there. She said they now have 2 very good cooks and hope people will give it another try. I do recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a pleasant, clean, non-fancy place to dine. If you want linen napkins you'll have to go elsewhere.

“LOOK 4 NEW COOKS . . . if serving GOOD FOOD is your business!”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

THREE strikes . . . you are OUT!! Three of us visited and this was the worst dining experience yet at new location! Two of us ordered the special: rib eye steak with 2 sides for $12.99 and the third ordered roast beef open face sandwich with fries. The role of the waitress is to smile and make sure the patron is served and satisfied; Jessica was smiling, pleasant but do you ever get the impression some people work just for the $$$. The hushpuppies were WELL DONE/over FRIED, we all ordered a side salad and the iceberg was WILTED, half slice of tomato and one slimy cucumber with a sprinkle of cheese; the steaks were not freshly grilled; warm, like they were pre cooked & re-heated, but not served med rare like we ordered; more like WELL DONE! Best part was the FRESH/HOT baked potato; the roast beef sandwich with fries tasted hot and fresh! The waitress can say SORRY only so many times but bottom line is she has a direct connection to the kitchen staff and must see the food before she brings it to the table.
We sat in a booth close to the kitchen wall and heard the kitchen staffer shout " rub my belly"; not professional at all and certainly not mindful of patrons who are there to enjoy a GREAT dining experience. The owners did wonders with the interior space but most important to staying in business is hiring BETTER/REAL COOKS. That improvement should be TOP priority!!!

“Wonderful place to eat!”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Great service and good food. This is our 3rd visit and we will definitely keep coming back. I have had the Chicken Wrap which was bigger than I thought it would be. Their fries are so good and fresh. Cheeseburger basket and was great too. We also had the Hamburger Steak plate which was awesome. We recommend the Blue Marlin to all family and friends.
