“Great fudge and taffy”
Review of Southport Taffy & Fudge Factory - CLOSED

Description: We are moving our location to 112 E. Moore St. Through the Courtyard. We will be reopening 2/1/2014. Please bear with us as we put the old time atmosphere back together. Southport Taffy & Fudge Factory is a shop that brings the old nostalgic feel of the boardwalk to Southport. The owners, Mark & Diane Salyer of Southport, felt that the old taffy & fudge shop atmosphere was missing in Southport so they decided to open one.

“Great fudge and taffy”
Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

This was our first stop when we arrived in Southport. The owner was passing out samples and sharing conservation with customers. The taste of the taffy was fresh and flavorful. The fudge, was equally fresh and the selection was good. They seemed to have something for everyone. The praline were out of this world. I plan on a return trip before leaving town.

“Excellence in every way!”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

My family and I just visited yesterday, and we all decided this will be a place we come back to every year when we visit Southport. The owner and staff at Southport Taffy & Fudge are very kind and helpful. The fudge and taffy are by far the best we've ever had. You have to try the carrot cake fudge! And the red velvet cake fudge, and the dark chocolate, and the chewy praline..... Really, just get a little of all of them! Thank you all!

“Extremely rude owner”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

First off we visted this site for local information on the area of Southport and found this desert store. Took our six year old son to get some sweets before the beach trip and the owner almost rushed us out the store. Wasn't at all patient with our son wanting to see what all flavors they had and taste a few. We will not recomend to our family and friends.

We would like to respond to this review. The customer who left this review never attempted to speak with the owner or the Asst. Manager either in person or by phone before leaving our only negative review we have ever had. First, we take a lot of pride in our customer service and we believe all of our other reviews certainly reflect this. We are a small family business who love engaging with our customers ie.. asking people where they are from, how their vacations are going, giving out restaurant suggestions, taking pictures of families and giving out mulitple samples of our candies .If there is a group that we really do everything we can for and that is the smaller children. We are shocked by this review and would encourage this customer to please feel free to contact us any time to speak with us about it. I would say in closing we will let the other 30 plus reviews speak for themselves.

“Really good fudge and very friendly owners”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

These guys have a very welcoming small courtyard entrance to their shop - be careful not to miss it - it is set back between two stores. Very friendly people and you can taste their nice selection of homemade fudge before you decide which one(s) and how much you want. They also make saltwater taffy which I did not try, being more of a chocolate lover myself. If you like fudge, this is a must visit :)
