My wife and arrived with great expectations based on word of mouth recommendations from our friends. Be advised reservations are not accepted so be cautious upon spontaneous dining plans on normally business times and days. Before moving to the area, we lived in the capital district of NYS which is home to many excellent italian restaurants. The meal at Joseph's was acceptable but the little details that can project a restaurant to excellence were lacking. For example, although we ordered veal and chicken parm with red sauce (gravy), we HAD TO ASK FOR PARMESEAN CHEESE! The cheese was not on the table nor did our server inquire if we desired the standard cheese offering given our orders. The sauce was fine lacking in quantity over the pasta. The sauce itself was okay. The bread was not up to par with traditional italian standards- that is, nice crest with a soft interior. The service was okay. But, given the dearth of choices for italian home made food, we may give the restaurant a second try.
